deviantArt Memes Hell

Dedicated to all the memes I got tagged for on dA but never did. See, I love you guys, too!
So yeah, bring on the tags! (No, I'm joking. But they are fun to do.)
Maybe one day, I'll upload them on dA, like they should be, but as of now, they won't.

10 Facts About Yourself
I'm supposed to tag 10 people, but as that's impossible due to me being on Blogger and how I have zero fanbase here. Yeah.
  1. I have the only tablet ever that houses two AA batteries in the pen.
  2. I've had the same red, Mickey Mouse blanket I used when I was a kid.
  3. Taken, but I never see him because he's pretty much employed full time now. Like, what the hell? Sure, he's an adult now (technically no; in August he will be), but everyday he's working 12 hours - and sometimes more.
  4. I have no cousins who live near me... or at least, cousins who are my age or ones who didn't have their mom divorce from my uncle and live a life segregated from us.
  5. I still play dolls (okay, technically they're "stuffed animals" but dolls sound cooler and I've been using that term ever since I was a kid), and I love them all to death.
  6. It's never been on mainstream TV, it's unknown to everyone in Canada, it's old, it's quality is lacking, and probably not that "good", but Yu Yu Hakusho rocks your socks. I downloaded almost every soundtrack, have 17 out of 18 volumes (granted, in Chinese, so I don't understand it), and is planning to buy the four box sets.
  7. 90% of my OCs are mary sues. However, out of the myriad of OCs I do have, there are only two who stood the test of time. Coincidentally, they're also my first OCs, and the mariest sue of all the mary sues ever.
  8. The design of my persona originated from a base I was planning to make a KISS doll out of. Don't know when she started to be my persona, though, but I do enjoy I didn't overrun her with ugly outfits and abysmal back stories.
  9. My species-ally confused fursona, I've decided, is going to be a cross between a Dall Sheep and an Alpine Ibex... plus a long tail. I like her, too, because I'm not a wolf nor a cat nor anything in between! How often do you see a sheep/goat fursona?
  10. I like how making websites and photo-maniping gives me a surge of endless OCD.

15 Thing That Bug Me
Once again, no tagging.

  1. People who don't listen to authority, despite being yelled at, and they scratch their ass and continue looking for a nice pair of jeans on Craig's List. (Huge pet peeve.)
  2.  Stupid people. AKA: self-righteous shits or people who think every comment which isn't a cry of appreciation is a malicious stab at themeselves.
  3. Forgetting to do big, important things and going, "Oh shit" when you're confronted about it.
  4. Not having AC at home.
  5. Losing things and not realizing you've lost them until so long later that you forget when you could have possibly lost it.
  6. Visiting, say, a site somewhere years ago, then wanting to visit that site again a long time after but not remember how to get there or what it's called.
  7. Googling about a really specific subject and not getting any (useful) results.
  8. Getting up early in the morning when your blanket and pillow is so comfortable and you would kill for an extra 10 minutes.
  9. My stupid cell phone alarm which forces me to get up to close it and forces me to pay attention while closing it because if I ignore it or choose "snooze" it'll ring again in another 9 minutes and there's no way of stopping it.
  10. Homework.
  11. Seeing perfectly good food going down the drain.
  12. Re-reading something over and over but still not understanding what it's about.
  13. Spiders, or more specifically, daddy longlegs.
  14. Computer messing up, including when I have to plug out and in my tablet so that it'd work.
  15. Being distracted by something when you know you should be doing homework.
What Nerd Are You?
This one I didn't even get tagged, but I'll do it anyways.

  1. You have to do this!
  2. Have fun... (I sure will. Broken rules: 1.)
  3. Tag others when done (Can't. Broken rules: 2.)

ANIME NERD POINTS: 7

ART NERD
[x] You like art. (Well, no shit.)
[x] You actually consider yourself an artist. (No one who can sell art or anything, mind you.)
[x] When using art supplies, the brand of them matters to you. (Copic and Letraset/Prismacolor markers act differently, you know!)
[x] You have a favorite brand. (Copic, Faber-Castell, Prismacolor, Pentel, Canon, Nikopiko... need I say more?)
[ ] You have asked for art supplies as a Christmas/birthday gift before. (I would, but people would choose the wrong things.)
[x] You give people your drawings as gifts. (That's laem, but when I'm cheap and all else fails... mind you, I don't think pictures are worthy enough to just be a gift... and how does this make you an art nerd? I mean, people with no talent have done that before!)
[x] People actually ask for your drawings. (Sad stuff.)
[x] You are known as 'the art person' at your school. (Not that exactly, but I think in some groups, I'm regarded as the artist, yes. Sad stuff x2.)

[x] You have taken an art class outside of school. (And it sucked.)
[x] You have considered a career as an artist. (Easy money.)

[ ] You carry a sketchbook with you everywhere you go. (I carry scraps of paper with me.)
ART NERD POINTS: 12

[x] You've participated in an extracurricular activity for your instrument. (Is strings extracurricular?)
[ ] You are known by what you play.

[ ] You are wondering whether that refers to the classical music genre or the classical music time period.
[ ] You have a favorite composer. (Yo Yo Ma, huhu.)
[x] All of your friends are from your band/orchestra class. (Considering how none of my friends go to my school... and how does this make you a music nerd? Means your friends are.)
[ ] You write music. (Don't make me laugh.)
[ ] You've had discussions with your friends about music; your favorite composers/instruments/musical time periods/key/etc... (Don't make me laugh.)

[x] You can type really, really fast. (I guess?)
COMPUTER NERD POINTS: 12

I am an art nerd/computer nerd. I saw the art nerd coming, but the computer nerd? Don't you guys even be proud that you're called one because you're nothing to one. WHY IS THERE NO PROGRAMMING/HARDWARE QUESTIONS? YOU AREN'T A COMPUTER NERD IF YOU DON'T KNOW THOSE. Holy shit, this is more like "I spend my life online nerd". I didn't even get to mention I could speak 4 languages and almost fluent in one markup language. No C++, no Java, no HTML, no nothing. Lame.

EDIT: Another one tagged to me by GentleHorizon

Rules
  • Post these rules.
  • Each tagged person must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
  • At the end, you have to choose and tag 10 people and post their icons on the same journal. (They are at the bottom)
  • Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.
  • No tag backs
Even though this is like exactly the same meme as the "10 facts about yourself" meme I first did, I'll do this anyways and just say new stuff about me!
  1. I hate my tablet. Seriously, what kind of stupid creator puts batteries in the pen. I got a huge cramp because of that!
  2. I'm still using the same Hotmail email I created back grade 4, created from wanting to play Neopets. (Woo, I am so cool.)
  3. Nothing beats Asian ice cream flavours! I like mango, lycee (sorta), coconut, taro, matcha... etc. I'll pass on the things like rice, cactus, raw horseflesh (seriously, ew), deep sea water, soy sauce, chili pepper (with an actual chili in it!), charcoal, tree, squid gut, squid ink, and anything that has to do with seafood or meat ice cream though. God, this isn't even a complete list!
  4. I have an in-grown nail. Man, does it hurt like hell. When I finally (painfully) removed it out of my flesh, so much pus squirted out.
  5. My OCD tells me to spend many hours researching and filling information, sorting, and finding album art for all of my songs I have on iTunes. It took me a couple of weeks, on and off, to get through them all.
  6. The car is my favourite place to sleep next to my bed.
  7. For some reason, out of all the main colours, purple seems to be my least favourite even though I have nothing against it. It's probably because it was Doggy's favourite colour. I still have nothing against purple. I use it a lot, even!
  8. There is a piece of candy in my hand bag I got in Hong Kong in the lobby of the hotel I was staying in. I helped someone with the computer and he gave it too me. I'm too suspicious of the candy to eat it.
  9. I think I might have given that candy away to one of my friends to eat. Hope she didn't develop anything.
  10. I have nothing else to say.

On another note:
Blogger's so stupid! I'm tempted to write everything in HTML if I already didn't put up with Blogger's stupidness and wrote everything out already.

Crunchy Land: Hero Base

Most of you should be aware of a site called CrunchyRoll. If you haven't, don't let the professional homepage suck you in. Even the person who owns the site can't speak properly. It's the bane of society.

There's this really retarded game on CR, Crunchy Land, where pretty much you can dress up with an avatar and fight generic bad guys in a Nummyz dating game way (that means it sucks!). You can be extremely cheap in the game because as long as you know how to colour in the shape of something onto of a paper doll, you can make up the cheapest weapons ever, and then price them really high. I'm not paying 5000 gold for some shitty looking bow and arrow!

Anyways, as you people may or may not be aware of, I have graciously offered my talents and graced them as a contributor in "Crunchy Land". I made an avatar base named "Hero" and submitted it.
Hero base
For some reason, I decided to check how Hero was going along and what other additions was added to his wardrobe.

I was very disappointed.

Seeing how my base was being raped by a feast of ugliness, I had to step in and even out the ugly.
Thus, I'm adding some more items to the mix. (Mainly recolours of parts I already made! Haha!)

But really, seeing some of the things made me cry.

"Why the name Hero?"

The name comes from the idea that it was the hero amongst the sad looking bunch. If there was a male base, it was usually because it made a nice set with the female base before it. Of course, there were some bases which didn't look like a base minus breasts, but that one was ugly. "Hero" was also the hero of the anatomy for the most part, with a base which obviously looks like it's been more lovingly done.

But you know what baffles me? The description of my Hero base:
Finally, an automatically correct buff dude. ~This avatar has until June 27th to submit a full set of basic items until disapproval. Please submit items for this avatar to be considered. ~Duster
When is "Duster" going to remove his(?) comments off the base description? It's already been approved for two years!

Also, I am slowly beginning to restart the line I had going with the Digi-Doll base. Finally, the hair will have a matching top (and possibly other articles of clothing).

Hero base made in openCanvas.
Some items made in Paint Tool SAI.
Some items edited in Photoshop (mainly changing colours).

Also also, I'm considering making a "Heroine" base, but I think CR needs more guys than girls.

I'm Late! I'm Late!

Yay, some belated fun-ness. Instead of doing homework or sleeping, I'm updating this for you. In the next hour, my friend would be going to work too! Woo, insomnia.

So it was my friend's birthday a while back. I promised her that I would draw her a card (as she already gave me something for my birthday, it was only fair!) and I did.

Drafts:

Back
Front

So my friend is leaning more to the girly side. When I thought of what she would like, Alice in Wonderland came to mind.

Not too pro with drawing chibis, but I tried at least.

Final Product:

I left out the back page because as I was working on this picture, I was juggling another big project. Yet I still spammed the background. Yes, that was where my "personality" came in. See what you can find in the back! (Like in one of those I-Spy books!)

When my parents saw me inking the picture, and do you know what they're reaction was?

"You're wasting time!"

You'd think they'd be proud or something. Ah well.
